INDIA is also Building its First Hydrogen Train!
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said that Indian Railways is working on the development of hydrogen-powered suburban trains and has issued an expression of interest for the participation of the industry.
“There is a plan to get hydrogen from industry in India. Hydrogen production is not planned by Indian Railways.
The decision to deploy hydrogen-bound trains for long-haul routes will be based on the development of technology, ”Goyal said in a written reply in Parliament.
