Microsoft Office Android users were asking for dark mode for a long. It Looks like Microsoft has heard their request! In an official Office Insider blog post, Microsoft Word program manager Ali Forreli described the update as a “long-requested feature”, which is more relevant than just the increasing amount of time we spend on our screens.
“It has become increasingly important,” he said, “to reduce eye strain and adjust photosensitivity.” Among the changes that would make the updated Dark Mode change first-white pages to charcoal gray, the colors used in the documents would also be adjusted.

Microsoft Launches Dark Mode for Microsoft Office Android!
If your device is already set to that preference, the latest version of the Office app for Android will automatically adjust to dark mode. You can turn dark mode on or off by tapping your profile icon on the Home tab in the Office app, selecting Settings, and then selecting Light, Dark, or System Defaults from the theme options.

Microsoft has Given us Hint about the Dark Mode Earlier!
According to a tweet by Italian developer and tipster Alessandro Paluzzi, the Dark Mode feature can be found for Android with the option to set Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Dark in Excel, Light, or system default settings.
According to Paluzzi, from leaked screenshots shared on Twitter, it appears that the entire app has a dark background, “the document’s background is white, but they may decide to make it black before the official release.”

Microsoft Office Dark Mode for PC
Microsoft Office includes Black and Dark Gray themes. Windows 10’s system-wide Dark Mode will not affect Office apps, but you can choose Dark themes for Office apps such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
According to Microsoft, Dark Mode of Office is only available if you have a Microsoft 365 (formerly known as Office 365) subscription. It works on any version of Windows, including Windows 7, 8, or 10. Dark themes are currently not available for Office on Mac.
